The Task:
With over 700 people in attendance at this years Gloucester Business Awards the event has now become the largest of its kind in the country. Showcasing all the best that business has to offer in and around Gloucestershire, AN Event Services were tasked with representing the awards in the best possible way by providing a stand out set and staging.
The Solution:
With a very large room needed to accommodate the awards 700 guests, AN Event Services had the task of building a large set that would look amazing and stand out in such a large room. We achieved this through a variety of different ways.
The first was the use of a 20' x 15' screen at the centre of the set. It was decided that the screens which AN Events usually use would not do the size of the set justice and as a result a much larger screen was required. Many commented on the effectiveness and the size of the screen all noting how effective it looked on the night.
Either side of the screen, creating further interest in the set, we used four hanging flats covered in the colours of Gloucestershire Media's Gloucestershire Echo and The Citizen newspapers. Along with creating further definition and interest on the set, it also helped to tie in the set with the presentation that AN Event Services were also happy to work alongside our clients to provide.
Working along side the client on what they envisioned for the presentation itself, it was decided that Keynote software would be the best to use. Keynote offers slightly crisper and more polished transitions than Microsoft PowerPoint thus further allowing the awards to shine and stand out from other business awards.
Another stand out effect we decided to use at these awards was the use of pyrotechnics. Red, gold and blue glitter streamers were projected into the crowd after the winner of the prestigious 'Business of the Year' came to collect their award. It was a great way to end the awards and make it a memorable night for all.
The Result:
The Gloucestershire Media Business Awards 2011 proved to be another huge success. With lots of positive feedback on the awards itself and also from the client, we look forward to working with Gloucestershire Media in the future to help create another spectacular awards!
